Future Plans

I received a comment on my first post regarding having a separate website for my photography business. I wholeheartly agree. I'm just not quite to that point yet. My thoughts behind starting the blog now was to drum up interest, to see if people even liked my pictures, to see if this is a good idea at all. The business plans are being laid. I have a seven month timeline in which to lay those plans.

Thank you for the comment and suggestion. They are always welcome.

Picture of the Week

I must say, I have really been enjoying taking pictures everyday and seeing what becomes. Last week I took my point and shoot to the grocery store. It was quite a sight trying not to be noticed. This is what became:

Picture of the Week

One thing I have been doing to improve my photography is to take at least one picture every day. You can find the set here. From these pictures (or from others I took throughout the week) I am going to post one here to be my picture of the week.

Tell me what you think.

This week's picture is from the Western and Southern Financial Group Master's tennis tournament in Cincinnati this past week. Read my personal story about the tournament here. The fans got into the action by doing the wave during a changeover.

Welcome

Welcome to the all new Meredith Gordon Photography blog. For several years now I have been toying with the idea of starting my own photography business, and now I am ready to take the leap.

A little bit about me: 5’2", eyes of blue, Aries. :)

I grew up and settled in New Albany, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. I attended THE Ohio State University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. Photography has been a hobby and passion of mine for quite some time, but I didn’t get really serious about it until I had my point and shoot camera stolen on a trip to Boston and replaced that camera with a digital SLR. After taking some classes on how to use it and composition, I fell in love with photography. I have had the opportunity to shoot friends and family for engagements, weddings, and other special events.

If you’re interested in my photographic services or interested in purchasing any of the prints you see on this blog, feel free to shoot me an e-mail.

Please check back often for new stories and pictures. Comments and e-mails are always welcome
